In my opinion 100% Lewis fault.
Complete year not one incident with Max, not one broken wing .... and there is Lewis.
Lewis turned to aggressive into Max but... this is a opinion

we're going around in circles on that topic. The same arguments are being made over and over.

Max was at fault by about 80% at least.
You forgot to write "in my opinion".

I wouldn’t say it was a poor restart from Lewis, more that Russell backed him up so much to protect his own self, that he made Lewis vulnerable to the old Max divebomb. I think if Russell had just gone earlier on he would of still been safe, given there’s no DRS
So it's George's fault. He should have got drive through penalty. :D

Hamilton has been terrible at restarts for as long as I can remember now.

He's just as bad in the pack at them as he is when leading, I mean, he should have done what Russell did on numerous occasions, leave it to the last minute and prevent anyone getting a run on you, Brazil 19 and Zandvoort this season spring to mind.

I tend to agree. Hamilton's restarts leave something for wanting. What on earth was he thinking launching so early in Zandvoort. You should never launch until you are near the line because it reduces the slip stream.

Max has jumped Lewis a few times at restarts in the last couple years. Definitely something he could improve

I agree with the pair of you, it needs improving but he's been racing that long I'm not sure if that's possible, every driver does have weaknesses, Hamilton's are restarts and race generalship/strategy.

Zandvoort he had 1000 year old tyres on, and the wrong engine mode. Had no chance. Same with AD, tyre deficit.

It wouldn't have made much difference in the end at Zandvoort but at least try and make it difficult for your opponent.

He did the same at Brazil a few years back, Verstappen was lightning on the straight in that race but Hamilton went relatively early and Verstappen flew straight past him. I could go on and give other examples but the picture is clear IMO.

I agree with the comment that Lewis had another poor restart. I can’t see how it’s Russell’s fault because Lewis had a poor restart.

There was no DRS in Zandvoort, yet Lewis was overtook about 5metres after the start finish line.

Russel could have gone early, but would have meant max was behind him in the tow for longer.

Just about every king start finish line drivers wait to get racing again, because of the tow.

Nobody says it’s Russell’s fault. He had the right to restart any which way he pleased. But it put Hamilton in that position. I’d view the resulting collision as a racing incident, with a little more blame on Verstappen’s end.

It's a glaring fault of Hamilton and it's bit him on a few occasions. I can't believe the team haven't noticed it either, don't they discuss these kind of things or are they afraid to instruct a driver about his faults.

There were similar calls that "It's Bottas's fault" after that restart in Portugal last year.

Interesting to see Max fans doing their best to deflect from his failings by having a go at Hamilton on a totally unrelated matter.

This weekend Max showed that he is not a team player, that he deliberately crashes in to people and that he is petulant child when things don't go his way (not unusual with racing drivers, admittedly). This might have been Max's worst weekend in terms of his public persona. Plenty of people appear to be re-examining their fondness for Max after his behaviour in the last lap.
