I don't think he needs that, the stopwatch is doing that for him.

Generally speaking, Mercedes must be thrilled that they seem to be much more competitive here compared to Spa, despite somewhat similar circuit characteristics. RB's aero efficiency should be the name of the game here.

I know the circuit modifications were made prior to last year's race but I'll say it again here, the rounding of those few corners has made an incredible difference for the positive. The track looks and seems to feel much less "point and shooty", and the new cars should help that even further keeping a close gap around turns 5 and 9.

Verstappen will walk it, Hamilton struggling like mad relative to Russell, for pace and even more so, tyre wear.

Ferrari and Mercedes have a fight. Tyre life will determine who would move ahead in race.

Redbull is not using higher engine maps. Maybe this is Friday engine. In USA race (mexico and brazil are anamolous), Verstappen was consistently 10kmph up on Hamilton without drs but fp2 long runs they have similar speed trap numbers.

He hangs on to Max for a little bit, but drifts towards Ferrari/Merc territory on the back half of the stint. Note, he is running the higher downforce rear wing which I think like Austin, will prove to be a mistake.

Agreed, people are forgetting Ferrari too. Just because the developments have stopped doesn't mean they aren't doing anything at all

Pecking order in Brazil and Abu Dhabi is probably what we will get next season.

So a Merc 1-2 in Brazil, Ferrari 3-4 and RB 6-7.

What you think AD will be?

This weekend will put RBR right where they've been all season, so..

I am just saying that Merc will get more wins than Ferrari next season, and less than RB.

seems like saving two sets of hards instead of wasting them in FP1 could turn into a good decision by Red Bull*, Ferrari and Alpine. Tyre deg on mediums looked much higher than usual
