Not quite true, newer techniques of recycling are being tested with higher degrees of efficiency. The problem isn't we cannot, it is that we can at a cost that's higher than just disposing of it.

In that case, nuclear is completely 100% recyclable; it's just that it costs less to just dispose of it rather than recycle it into a volcano to be re-mined at a much later date.

It's not just the disposal cost, there's plenty of uranium and breeder reactors output fissile material which can be used for nuclear weapons. So nobody has been particularly keen on running the risk of proliferation.

In any case many gen IV designs are breeder reactors.

Being obtuse and over exaggerating the comparison to a comical level is not like for like is it?

As I said, the tech is there and its a case of scaling it to economy. The exaggerated argument you are using was also used by people way back in the late 1800s early 1900s stating Automobiles were too complex, too expensive and required a dangerous substance called Gasoline. Why get a car when you can have a horse.

How long is battery life on these cars? Certainly not brilliant at the minute. Once the battery is removed it can’t be recycled so has to go to waste. Then you have the HUGE mining process of getting lithium out the ground to begin with.
The cars are likely to be charged off non green methods.

If you trace the carbon footprint back of all these electric cars, I’ll bet it’s worse than a combustion engine which will run for many many times longer than a electric car

If this post was intended as a game to find the 5 false or extremelly innacurate statements in there, then you nailed it! And it deserves some merit, as fitting 5 false statements into so little lines is not easy

1- As stated, battery life can be higher than car life, at least some of them, and that´s constantly improving

2- Batteries can be recicled, but also can be reused wich is even better. Homes with PV panels can take advantage of an old battery wich do not work for a car anymore, but can serve a home for many years more storing energy and reducing grid demand

3- That HUGE mining process is far from worse than oil wells, and refineries, and oil tankers, etc.

4- No, the cars are not likely to be charged from non green methods. Why are you stating such an absurd thing? That statement is only true if you´re from India or any third world country. But EVs are not very common in those countries In most developed countries a huge percentage of electricity is green and that´s increasing constantly

5- If you trace the carbon footprint of EV and ICE, an EV from India pollutes still less to an equivalent ICE. At any other country with a significant share of nuclear, hydro, solar or wind energy, EVs pollute several orders of magnitude less. And the difference continue growing year by year as more renewables are built. While ICEs pollute more year by year as engines suffer wearing, moving pieces earn some play, collect cinder... and their efficiency becomes even worse with time.
