Ferrari 675 Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I assume (and would he surprised if im wrong) ferrari does not use real cars to tune the fit of bodywork panels an will have a lightweight jig to test the fit. Probably what you're watching below the drape.
No. There's no conspiracy here.

The race team mechanics don't waste their time doing things that don't matter. they aren't fitting bodywork onto fake jigs. They fit them to the real car because the fitment of components to the real car is the only thing that matters. Jigs can have differences to the real car based on tolerance stack up. Any detail trimming, bonding, and so on needs to be done on the real machine.

I'll eat my hat if they use real cars.

Please remember for big parts on the season the car does not return to the factory.

The launch is open air at Fiorano where they're also doing a shakedown:

So I think they will be launching the real car in person, which is cool. Journalists should be able to get some photos

Of course they will, they never launch liveries or fake cars. Imagine the embarrsssment if Ferrari, a historic car maker, did that.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Last year it was the real car, but a virtual launch, no? So we only got the angles that Ferrari showed us for a while.

No i think last year was the real car too. Remember there was a leaked picture circulating the evening before the launch. So not a virtual one

Yes, I wasnt talking about virtual launch, just about the car shown. Its always the actual car with studio shots, never renders or just new liveries on old cars or mockups.

as expected.. ferrari don't abandon their concept

The Ferrari SF-23 will not follow the trend of the other cars presented (downwash effect) but will remain faithful to the concept of the F1-75, with 'high' goldfish tanks. Good presentation and good first 15 km SF-23.
No shakedown today. just a 'demo' run of 15km
