Well to me sidepods from last year weren't infact zeropods either if we speak from physical prospect..

Can everyone just agree that the class of 1969 (and some stragglers over the next handful of seasons) were the last of the true zeropods and move on?

But that's countered by there being far less volume at the front near the floor.
If these had turned up last year people would still be calling them the same thing.

You’re not looking in the right place. It’s not about the sidepod inlet. It’s about everything behind the inlet.

In the W14, a sidepod extends rearwards, all the way to the back of the engine there is a visible bulge/ramp. In the W13, the sidepod stopped next to the driver’s head. That is zeropod.

Still clearly the same concept as last year, just recontoured. Only break from last year is towards the rear where there’s substantially more volume. Same widths in plan at its max, slightly less width forward at the intake, vastly wider at the back.

I think the “zero-pod” is a bit of an illusion on the W14. The W14 clearly has much larger overall sidepod volume compared to the W13. Look at the mid-section. Zero pod is dead.

Look at the front section of both designs, the W14 is clear smaller in the front.

It looks like the top face of the floor is angled and goes to halfway up where the sidepods usually are? Especially the front edge.
