Any top speed charts to see if we solved that drag problem?

So far, I have not seen the graphs, but the leader in the maximum speed of Verstappen is 326 km / h.

Sainz hit 325km/h also so 322 is very close to the top

teams could be running various wing levels, it is only testing. we really need competitive running before any meaningful comparisons can be made

Eh? It's just showing a stop sign.

Edit: I thought that was the site showing an error, but I realise it is intentional now :D

322 is 1kph off last years fastest speed trap in Qualy.

How we compare to others is very much in the air, but what is unquestionable is all these cars are likely a fair bit faster and the Macca is definitely more slippy.

We are 7kph faster than last year and we are not dialled in, got engines turned up or even likely trying to go fast.

Because the PDF from last years Qualifying Max Speeds shows the Macca as going 315.7

This will be dialled in and going full beans, compared to the first morning of testing and our focus being not on speed.

The car is simply faster.

It DOES NOT, however, give any comparative indication to what steps others cars might have made, just that there is a big step made for us and others.

Ok the car is faster but how do you come to the conclusion that the other cars are even faster than Mclaren if there isn't any comparison yet?

Every team will be working on efficiency between the seasons. Development rate is also high at the start of new set of regs

We can compare each car to where they were last year, but we don't have data to compare the cars from this year against each other.

Even then we still don't know how much faster. We understand how fast they were at the start of last year, and that they likely made progress, but what we don't have is two thresholds.

The first being how fast would the last iterations of last years cars be on this track.
The second is just how fast can these cars go. But once you get to 7kph faster with a car not set up to go fast, vs a car going as fast as it can, then yeah this car is a step forward, that is clear enough. But we don't know if it is enough for this years car to put us ahead of the pack.

It will not stop anyone looking for hope on this Forum, but there is almost no chance of us understanding how we compare to the other teams from these three days.
