Ferrari SF23

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

My uneducated guess is that bit of the bodywork has a different finish/wrap/polish that is making the flowviz look brighter/denser. Its almost a perfect square bit of bodywork where it looks brighter.

Almost like the lowest pressure is on the outside of the skin and it’s literally diverting the flow vis that has gone inside the pod through the seem of the panels

I suspect that's a fibreglass panel for signal transparency to the transponders and aeriels and just either has a different surface finish as a result or simply didn't get coated with the sealants they use over the rest of the car.

Have you seen a dimple on ferrari's nose at the end of the straight ? is it real or just light playing a trick ?

Its real, the nose fascia was deforming on straights because it wasn't reinforced enough. Its unintentional and they've said they'll remedy it. I think its already fixed for the evening session. If not it'll be fixed overnight.

Been reported. Is a simple of the panel there caving in under high load. Will get fixed. Panel bends back at lower speeds

do you notice that at the end of the session, Ferrari mount support on the FW? On both sides, from the higher part of the nose almost to the endplates. Do they want verify rigidity of the FW?

According to Franco Nugnes, today Ferrari was just search the correct balance of the car, exploring various heights from the ground to see when porpoising appear.
