Some of the cars need strengthening a little as the kerbs in Bahrain are causing small amounts of bodywork damage. I haven't seen any suggestions that the Mclaren is one of them. AT and AR are the two cars mentioned.

Maybe the same situation that created the issues yesterday for McLaren

Right now running on the same pace as Sainz, both in the high 39’s, low 1:40’s (actually in the last 2 laps, a couple of tenths faster on each)

Same tyre?

Both in the same tire, just a couple laps difference in terms of usage (right now 13 for Sainz, 11 for Lando)… If it’s an actual race sim and not knowing if there is traffic (broadcast not following them)… The only worry would be that McLaren seem to have more tire degradation (Lando ended his stint in the high 1:40’s, while Carlos kept it in the low 1:40’s)… But impossible to know without following… But they were matching each other for the better part of that stint

It could well be. Stella did mention that the minor works they did was to strengthen parts, which were obviously around the brows. Teams appear to be using the test to go a little under on weight where possible and analyse where it is safe and where it is not.

Mercedes were also strengthening parts under the floor this morning.

I agree, we’ve seeing a lot of parts flying today… Part of the process to understand where that limit is on the parts… Nothing terminal luckily, but every gram counts

Exactly, and it shows how many teams are still struggling with weight, if the paint jobs didn't demonstrate that enough.

I wouldn’t read much into the lap times though… Tsunoda was faster than both, also on C3’s an apparently doing a racing sim too :)
