That paints a very different picture… Interesting data, thanks for sharing!

Wonder if people have the same opinion on Mercedes and RedBull as they did yesterday with McLaren having issues with the car...

Irrelevant comparison.

When McLaren re-establish themselves as a competitive force, then I will stop worrying when reliability issues are faced during testing.

So, its not about a specific issue on a testing session then. You just want to find things to complain about, the goal posts will keep changing to fit your narrative.

VER on 14 lap old mediums still doing 1.37.4s. That’s some race pace. We were up in mid 1.38s at that stage of the stint. Obviously fuel/engine modes are unknown but that car is very kind on its tyres. The tyre wear on the MCL60 seems very heavy

watching live timing here-- Piastri is doing *better* times than VER and LEC on similar tires of similar vintage at the same time

Good recovery in terms of mileage from yesterday and important for Oscar to build his confidence moving towards his debut. Probably just aswell given a lot of other teams getting good mileage and data under there belts also. Let's Push on and see if we can get towards 150 Laps total and then unlock what peformance we have tomorrow.

Some comments from Swedish TV. They talk in length about Mclaren and the feeling in the pit lane is that the team lost confidence in what car they have to work with and Lando Norris looks unhappy.

Seen enough today to suggest it's not as bad as people try to make it out to be. Car certainly behaves much more on the nose, and with more setup work and into the Baku upgrades it has bags of potential. Might not be the leap we all hoped for, but in time who knows. Excited would be the wrong word to use, but I'm content.

I loved Laura Winter's comments: she said "I spoke with Lando earlier and he sounded really down but he also told me that he had just woken up so he may have just been sleepy"

F1 pundits and journalists now peddle and transact on feelings, sounds and vibes. Has anyone come up with any deep delve analysis of the data, which is what they should be working with? Like I said, McLaren may actually be in a bad way, but there's nothing concrete about anything. With "teething" problems, the team did nearly 140 laps today. One day to go, lets see how tomorrow pans out.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

They are just quoting Zak you know... no need to pretend otherwise
