FP1 is fairly irrelevant for a night race. It might help to prepare the cars and do some checks on new components going in for this race. It's only FP2 that can provide some meaningful insights to the competitive situation of both short and long runs.

I honestly dont want that. I would like margins much larger and more mixed field instead trough whole season. Nothing is worse than 5 drivers which are eliminated because of 0.0xx slower lap.

I think that is the opposite, that is utterly brutal and that is how quali should be... 0.001 slower, you lose. How breath-taking would it be that Q1 is as crazy as Q3?
