Then be more accurate in your description of the events. AMR has a really strong long run pace but again Merc baseline on their first long run was way worse that the 1.36 Hamilton did so who knows the true picture. For now I'd say advantage AMR though

One lap on fresh tyres is irrelevant. Look at the first stint.

Well they are running a very skinny rear wing. I predict they go back to barn door but let's see

I also predict this. The skinnier wing was never going to be a solution to their problems and if you listen carefully to the interviews, they never said it would make them faster. They just said it would increase their straightline speed.

The Merc is a turd. If it wasn’t, they wouldn’t be so long faced, depressed and waiting for their upgrade. Not even worth discussing unfortunately, that’s how far they’ve fallen.

RB, Ferrari & AM look the top 3. Merc in 4th.

Is Ferrari expected to have an especially bad tyre deg? Did I miss something?

Encouraging I would say. Maybe lacking some pace, but the deg issue seems to be under control.

Is he fit to do the GP? I'm thinking no if he can't have two hands on steering wheel down the straight. And he hasn't done close to a GP distance

Makes the whole medical side of things a joke. Surely he shouldn’t be allowed to drive unless proven to be fully fit. He’s endangering himself and others. Drugovich should be in that seat this GP
Well Stroll has already wasted precious running time for Felipe.
the medical standard based on if the driver can self extract. it doesnt restrict based on speed unless it is causing him to drive dangerously which he is not. he is just slow and not taking the optimal line. stop doomsdaying based on a friday practice.

yeah, he's not racing tomorrow nor sunday.

I've had my left wrist broken in the same place as his, took 3 months to heal and then had to grow strength back, he's not driving 12 days after the surgery, it's impressive he did what he did today already.
