What Dan Fallows has done aston Martin is what Peter prodromou should have done a Mclaren.a rising star at red bull who went on to do great things with another team away from the shadows of Newey.
Peter P has been massively overrated, he has been in McLaren for half a decade and still churning high drag cars, guess he is a one trick pony. His departure from RedBull was a blessing for RB as they went towards aero efficiency.

I had a sneaking suspicion Alonso could pull some miraculous win this season but now it looks like sure thing he will give a young bull all he can handle.
overrated i dont know,he won championship as head aero at red bull.Aston has made huge investments mclaren on the other hand has yet to bing in their new wing tunnel.Brown is a marketing man ,f1 should not be run by marketing man they care more about publicity than substance
10th in the CC with great publicity still brings in big sponsorship $.

Aston has only had investment come in last year and with the cost cap they are spending as much as McLaren so don't buy that. It's down to the team and leadership, looking from outside it feels like Mclaren and Williams have toxic environment due to their heritage and legacy

Only spending as much as McLaren? Aston martin have started a technology division like Ferrari/RB/Merc all have, are building their own tunnel (as are McLaren ik), and building a factory facility that is the largest of any team! Not all expenditure is inside the cap

I gathered the times and put them on a spreadsheet, in such way that we can compare times against tyre life.
IMO It's more easy to compare the race pace of each team this way.
You can isolate times that happened in the same Tyre Life window more Easy.
Hope it helps.

The MCL34/35/35M were not high drag…

as you can see he only needed a small lift AFTER hes out of the cockpit....
people are blowing up by a screenshot and making it seem like he needed a wheelchair lift but not watching the whole clip for the entire story. :x

not sure Stroll should race like this, but we have seen so many injured and sick drivers in the past, and it never really was a problem. They get pumped up with whatever kind of medicine, and the adrenaline does the rest. He'll do alright.

Some teams holding back quite a lot

We already know Ferrari will be more than 1s per lap quicker than the f1-75, and same with the RB18 given how overweight it was this time last year

Some significant sandbagging going on

I have a feeling Merc are going to have a 2015 RB type season. There is just nothing positive coming out of that team right now.

you do know he needs to be out of the car in 10 seconds. Setting aside that he's not even unbuckling his harness, he starts leaving the car at 8s into the video and is out of the car at 32s. I'm not a math major but that looks longer than 10s.
