The teams are so close from top to Norris. Piastri is out unfortunately but it's his first race. If the B Car in Baku gives at least half a second it will make the car a contender for top.

The grid is very close
Last season we were 1 second from the leaders when we went out in Q2… This time they are 7 tenths… Not great, but it’s not a disaster either

Would you consider those an upgrade package? I would argue those were their actual cars (the latest version), while the first ones on track were simply place holders to either allow for one more week of parts production or simply hide things from the competition (imagine having the budget to do that! (Thinking about Mercedes 2019)… We can add Mercedes 2022 to that list also
Depending on the scale of McLaren’s upgrade you could easily argue that’s exactly what McLaren have done too, just with bigger gap between introducing it.
You have a very good point and believe you are right… I hope that the upgrade is as extensive as we hope it will be!

We get 2 launches in 1 season :)
They do say there is no such thing as a free launch, so take care
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Well that gives us an idea. But that's is a seriously close session. Every team went on new softs. So so close.

Yeah Lando had to ring the neck of that car to get into q1, great effort from Oscar, I think q3 will require a special lap.

The car is understeering a bit more today, could be the car has a narrower window for q1 with all the cars

Lets see

Both us and Alpine who pushed for 4th. Look to have started the new season on the backfoot.

Remains to be seen. They are so close that a driver will make a difference. Good luck to Lando trying to get to Q3.

This is good, considering everything that we now know… Regardless of the position in Bahrain, it isn’t like the team is nowhere… It will be interesting to see how the pace looks tomorrow… Let’s not forget that points are given on Sunday

What the hell happened to this team? Seidl did nothing. Absolutely NOTHING. Disgraceful.

Soldier count also the fact that Bahrain is a track where Mclaren is fairly weak. Let's see what happens when the car goes to Saudi Arabia and Australia cause last year the car was there much faster.

In any case the team now is on a countdown to deliver a championship winning car till 2025.
