Soldier count also the fact that Bahrain is a track where Mclaren is fairly weak. Let's see what happens when the car goes to Saudi Arabia and Australia cause last year the car was there much faster.

In any case the team now is on a countdown to deliver a championship winning car till 2025.
Absolutely… The season is not won or lost in Race 1… As long as the team is on the hunt and not too far away to fight in the midfield, I think it will be ok

Well debatable. The team should target Red Bull not fight with the midfield.

They can't fight Red Bull this year, of course we know their long term target.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Might be debatable. If the difference is 6 tenthsand the Baku upgrade gives 5 tenths they might as well manage it.

While not the results we all want for the team, it's at the very least significantly more promising than the same time last year. Looks like we're in for an interesting season!

Consider how bad this team would look without Norris…

Well, I don’t believe in miracles… So no expectation of fighting Red Bull this season on my side… It’s about making steps forward and hopefully that will be the case through the season.

Mate, don't fool yourself. We are more than a second off pace in qualifying and who knows how much in race trim. We are not fighting Red Bull or Ferrari anytime soon, with or without upgrade.

Considering Bahrain is one of McLarens worst tracks and a decent race pace, I’m not too unhappy, would Q3 be nice, sure, but it sure beats P19&20 as everyone here was predicting

Things are not well from what I see. The Baku B Car better give close to 1 second with how much they overhyped it otherwise 2023 will be really bad.

Yeah, Lando is killing his career in this team. He really deserves a shot in a better car. At least he is still young.
