Yes, especially because of FantasyGP's ruleset I mentioned this significant difference.
I just pointed out that there is no difference. You wrote F1 Fantasy locks before Free practice but thats a false statement. Official Formula1 F1 fantasy locks at Qualifying start. Now for FantasyGP is my first time, but the rules state that they also lock at Qualifying start. So they don't differ on the lock-down deadline. Its the same for both of them.

Sorry, I seem to have confused the countdown. You are right.

Cars: Red Bull, Ferrari, Aston Martin
Drivers: De Vries, Hulkenberg, Alonso

$1m left over.

Idea is RB, Ferrari at front of field gaining reliable points.

Alonso and Hulk using their experience to finish races gaining points from positions gained. De Vries because he is cheap.

I just pointed it out, because its a game changer to be able to watch the free practices before you make up your mind.
People should finalize their pickings for the weekend after FP3.

Exactly, and this is something I personally dislike, because that gives everyone a pretty narrow timeframe to make the best possible educated guess. I'd personally prefer a timeframe from Monday after a race until Friday before the next one.

I’ve gone for

Max
Alonso
De vries

Max will bring home some good points - we know that. Alonso is consistent, and I think de vries will do well in a decent midfield car

Car wise.

Mercedes - reluctantly due to budget but their drivers are consistent top 6 so should get some points there.

Aston Martin - generally ok

Alpha tauri

Not a bad shout from me a month ago if the pace of the AM/Alonso has been so far. Few hours left to see

I can't remember exactly and I've got a flight out in half an hour so I won't be changing! :D

But I think I have Alonso, Norris, can't remember who else, Aston, Ferrari, Mclaren

Re: F1 Fantasy League 2023

I have been in this league for years but this year my team is not showing up, and when I try to use the code from the first post in this thread I am informed that I am already a member. I would be 10th or 11th after todays race so am loath to exit the league and re-join just in case any previous points ( the only points) are not included if you join mid season.

Does anybody know how to sort this or will I miss out this year??

138 points but my predictions didn't stick. I had Max, Leclerc and Perez for 1,2,3. Mac for pole and fastest lap, 2 safety cars and that Hulk wouldn't finish, so I missed out on a good haul of points.

Getting all predictions right will be a lottery most of the time but getting the podium right is very important because it gives lots of points. Getting the podium right its more achievable in a normal race but again you need to have some luck also to make it stick.

208 points, not a bad haul but Leclerc DNF cost me some points.

I feel robbed on points.
Only got fastest lap wrong and Perez and Alonso wrong way round on the podium.

But I guess drivers has a burden on it too

Swapped de vries for stroll which is going to be a good shout I think
