Going for my prediction too
I think Ferrari will try 3 stopper with Leclerc. I think he will finish 2nd in between the RB. Verstappen easy win if he gets away well.
Alonso imo will struggle to keep the Merc behind at the beginning but might end up sandwiching them due to better tyre deg. I think Sainz will finish 4h

I think Ocon can challenge the last Merc on race pace

I think Alonso is going to be under some serious pressure in the first 2 laps. That Aston is missing a bit down the straights and he's surrounded by some very fast cars down the straights.

2-3kmh down the straight in quali compared to Lewis.
~6kmh down the straight in quali compared to Charles.

Should be interesting.

The difference is even bigger when the DRS is closed. It's those first 2 laps that could be interesting for him.

Yes there is a chance that Alonso is ahead of Sainz after turn 1 and Sainz re passes him on the run to turn4.
That run to turn 4 in the first 2 laps isn't going to be easy for Alonso.

I think passing without DRS will be tricky even if they have a 10kph advantage, Fernando just needs a good start hopefully.

Adrian Newey was just eyeballing the Mercedes of GR on the grid.

I would love to know what that man was thinking.

Passing at Bahrain is never difficult and it will be even easier with a +10kph advantage. The back-to-back DRS make it easy. What alonso needs to do is not cook the tyres trying to fight for track position too hard after the first lap, and let the race come to him IMO, but Alonso will know best :D

How much he could make by offering the team advice on where their design has gone so wrong

I noticed this too, probably the most important insight Brundle could have gotten on his grid walk, but just passed by
