Man I hope Ferrari can get on top of the reliability woes.
I think they have as much of an uphill struggle in reliability as merc have which overall chassis performance.

One of their cars consumed and entire racing years worth of critical parts in one single race weekend.

By the letter of law (rules) this becomes the worst display of reliability in F1 in so many decades.

The rules are very stupid of course, one rule breach = two race weekends ruined is just silly, but then the entirety of F1 is stupid.

Be F1:
"Should we let teams use active suspension to make car design and running much simpler and better for the sport!??!" NO!

"Should we think about adding sprinklers to the track to make artificial rain that we always red flag anyway!?!?!?" DAMN RIGHT

"Should we propose an idea where the leader has an anti-drs to slow them down!?!?!" HELL YEAAAHHH!!!

F1 is meme

The AMR wing seems like what they had in Bahrain with a little trimming, they had 1 bigger wing in their arsenal than this one, it's still a draggy option, my guess they won't be setting the speed traps alight.
Ferrari adding downforce instead of taking it away... this single pillar wing must be a improvement in drag vs downforce ratio.

Similar profile but less pinched at the edges, but no gurney on all 3. Vs the more spooned wings running gurneys. A bit of a toss up but I suspect they are all in a similar window

In Saudi Arabia the load levels between Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes and partly Aston will get closer, we can expect close max speed values. For the RB19 a wing quite similar to the 2022 spec, the most used loading config on the low drag RB18

I'm confused why they think the max speeds will be similar. RB with bigger wings in Bahrain than Mercedes, still had 2km/h advantage when DRS was open. RB with bigger wings than Ferrari was only down 2-3km/h w/ DRS.

RB have now come with a low downforce wing, lower than both Ferrari and Mercedes. They'll be ahead on the straights.

I anticipate RB to hit 332-334km/h on the straights here.

Thanks for the information on the configuration. Will be interesting to see what is shown for speed in Practice tomorrow!

I sure hope those Ferrari ICEs, MGU-H aren't done for.

From their onboards, they are running "extremely safe mode" in FP1.
