Yeah... no.
Well well well, look how the turn tables.
 The top speed was unchanged for the onboards I saw. Still significantly slower than RB on the straights.

And the gap to Perez is obviously not indicative of the true pace difference between the cars. Anyways, my comment was simply about the engine performance not being worth 8 tenths. I had no doubt they'd improve their overall pace in quali.
Acceleration in the non-traction zones is more telling than top speed regarding power output.

Ferrari was more than a second faster than in FP3 in the end. So dialtone was spot on. Why are you still trying?

Hats off to Charles, he knows how to put it together when it matters. Still miles off from RedBull pace though

I knew you wouldn't concede anything.

Max had another half a second on Perez.
Yeah Max probably would have been faster. No idea if half a second was the time. But I also don't see the point, never said Ferrari would win or get pole. I just said the engine was turned down and it was.

8 tenths worth of pure engine performance is massive, and you'd certainly not find that without seeing some change in terms of top speed. Anyways, how do you know this isn't fuel load related?

And let's not forget. After FP1 several people on here were saying Ferrari was gonna hit 340 come quali. Now all of a sudden top speed is irrelevant and not indicative of engine power anymore

Did he? Or was Perez slower to get up to speed like all others? Perez was on pole last year with more 0.25s ahead, so in a year he would lose 3/4 of a second in a car he was clearly feeling very good in? That's a bit too much...

Moreover Ferrari is just 0.4s quicker than Haas and on this track need a lot of time to put the tyres in temperature ...
Why do you keep posting false information?

But it definitely was... Leclerc was 1.1s off Max in FP3 even assuming the rosy prediction of you folks that he'd be 0.5s faster than Checo we are talking about improving the performance of the car from FP3 to quali, relative to RBR by over 0.6s. So yeah I was very much right on the money.

Except you don't know at all because you have no idea what fuel loads they were using. 8 tenths faster but still barely breaking 330 on the straight, me thinks not. And what happened to all the claims early in the week that Ferrari had another 10kph on the straight? Or was that Vanja?

To clarify, I'm not saying there wasn't performance in the engine, surely several tenths. But 8 tenths is ridiculous and made up.

Putting RB aside, how does everyone feel the car performed relative to last race? Is it just a circuit that favors Ferrari or have their changes brought a more stable car for them to set up?

What I am trying to get at is that have Ferrari started to get a handle/understanding of the car that will allow them to set it up better and hopefully develop it further. Perhaps too early to tell.

Car definitely looks more balanced and more comfortable around the circuit.

However looks like that has come at the expense of top speed, but not sure if they have also sacrificed some power. I guess the telemetry will reveal more.

Not sure how they will close the gap on the bulls. They really do look on another level, but I feel Charles can be the number 2 if they can get the PU reliability sorted.

Just hope Ferrari have some good upgrades in the pipeline to extract the potential

You are right, in Q2 Ferrari was 0.5s (not 0.4s) faster than the fastest Haas and in q1 Ver was 0.5s faster than Perez.
So please tell me where I'm posting false information.

Really wanna see some graphs and speed traps. Wondering just how Ferrari and RedBull stack up with both running a low DF setup.

I think Charles can get to the podium, so long as any Sainz interference is removed.

Oh man, RBR fans are desperate to hear their car is the fastest.

I’ll do you a favor and say it: The RB19 is the fastest car by a very big margin and in the hands of Max it would have flown to pole by 2 seconds difference to his team mate.

There you have it. Now do me a favor and keep on seeking for this clarification in other threads.
