On 1 lap, maybe. We'll never know. The race is different. Perez had the whole race in free air. Verstappen had to pass a lot of cars, even after the safety car.
Sure. In the same way, somebody could try to argue the earth is flat.RonMexico wrote: ↑19 Mar 2023, 20:37Anything can be argued he definitely has had the best luck with machinery of any driver ever
Yeah and Schumacher has won his championships without luck and a dogshit machinery just by overdriving slow Ferraris +2 seconds of what they were capable of.All of the all time great drivers had luck and or good machinery, that's how it works. If you dislike Hamilton or any other driver for that matter that's clearly your problem but credit where its due.RonMexico wrote: ↑19 Mar 2023, 20:37Anything can be argued he definitely has had the best luck with machinery of any driver ever
If the car is not up to scratch next season or behind and no clear path of development like it is now I see him going.
That does not fit the narrative some people want to push.
Schumacher brought Ferrari back again before his time they where worthless he got them to make a reliable car suited to his style.Poleman wrote: ↑19 Mar 2023, 20:41Yeah and Schumacher has won his championships without luck and a dogshit machinery just by overdriving slow Ferraris +2 seconds of what they were capable of.All of the all time great drivers had luck and or good machinery, that's how it works. If you dislike Hamilton or any other driver for that matter that's clearly your problem but credit where its due.
As always, stats over the season would answer that. Last year, after Monaco Perez was a championship contender.
He has had a race winning car in every season he has raced so far. He failed to win last year but his teammate did. His teammates have only failed to win at least one race only twice. One was Heikki Kovalainen who was dropped after and the other was Bottas who had a tyre explode in the closing laps of a race while leading.
I guess we were watching different races. If he couldn't stay on George's tail, how would he have made a move on Alonso?
