Criticism is fine. But pointless Criticism is, well pointless.

Just saying its slow, it's rubbish, etc is just pointless. Especially when the team have explained the plan and understood a problem.

Now, if towards the end of the season nothing has changed, that's a different matter.

Expressing one’s frustration that the car is slower, relatively speaking, than last year’s car is entirely valid. Yes we know a better car is coming, However, last year the Singapore car was supposed to be a big step forward, and yet wasn’t.

The car isn't slower than last year relatively speaking though. It's just that everybody else has improved more than what our abandoned concept has.

As you can see we're still 0.742% faster than last year.

Depends on how you express frustrations. Unfortunately many have expressed it in, well a very stupid way. While seemingly ignoring all the reasons the car isn't as good as the team want.

Being disappointed the car wasn't good in Australia is, just silly. Because the car is the same as its been for tge others. So, its hardly a shock.

Saying, the cars rubbish, or a brick or whatever other nonsense, is just pointless and rehashing stupidity.

The team knows it's not where they want it to be. Nameless faceless on the Internet saying its rubbish, doesnt really mean anything.

I mean “relative to the competition”, that is what matters.

The thing is, from the front of the grid to 19th there was only a 1.3s spread; in Q3 there was less than half a second to 4th/5th. When the field is that close, being only 0.5% off is the difference between hero & zero!!

Rubbish! He was only caught out by traffic before his last run in Q1 and his tires lost too much temp while waiting for a gap on track to complete his run.

Before that, he was within fractions of a second of Lando, and was even quicker by hundredths of a second on one of his early runs.

Considering he’s never raced any form of car at this circuit, I think that’s a pretty respectable effort.

I agree with djos here - I don't think it's reasonable to evaluate Oscar as "underwhelming" on the basis of this Saturday. He is a rookie in his third race and was within 3 tenths of Lando (probably in line with expectations). Last race he got into Q3 and has made no big errors that I can recall so far.
