Fully expecting most to start on the Mediums. Interesting to not that the AMR boys dont have any New Mediums left, so they could be likely to start on the hard tyre and go long, but then they are dropping onto a used medium at best.

Probably better to start on the used, as the likelihood of a safety car in the first 15 laps is quite high.
on to hard or new meds then and unless they are unlucky in a good place.

Would be a monster stint on the hards if you went for the 1 stopper. But, safety cars could turn that on its head quickly!

There has been zero agreements over an incident ever since this forum exists, yet both sides try hard to prove a point.

George was dumb yesterday, despite full awareness that Max would blast past him in the first DRS opportunity, he still tried that move as if he is a title contender. He would have easily ended up with a penalty and lose points. He is better than such d*** head moves.

Counter point, is why is Max resisting being overtaken when he has the fastest car on the grid by a fair margin?
Hamilton said himself in previous years that he just let Max do his thing, because he knew he'd overtake him a few laps later.
I thought Max was this mature and wise champion these days? He didn't show that yesterday at least.

Max didn't resist George overtaking him, he was angry that George gave him a damage and a thwack on the wall. That damage to the car prevented him going for an attack on Charles. Even last year, there were instances where George overtook him, but without causing damage which I don't think Max complained much about. Being a mature driver doesn't mean not getting angry when someone around behaves immature and damages one's car.

My reasoning behind thinking that is that they are never going to bother the RBR's, and you never know what the Ferraris do, so assuming they are in a comfortable 3-6 ish place just getting to the end as they are would be a good outcome. As an alternative, there is an option, depending on how things fall, of going soft for the last half dozen or so and making up a place or two and getting fastest lap.

If RB’s get into an early 1-2 and it’s a dull race, I’m fully expecting a ridiculous safety car to be called with less than 10 laps to go.

I would enjoy a drama! I won't be sitting and watching a procession.
But I hope it's a genuine event of SC or red flag! There is plenty in the tighter sections which would offer that. I am predicting there would be atleast 2 stoppages!

Sadly, I’m predicting more. Unfortunately, we now have to watch ‘F1 red flag’ most weekends now. Rarely do you get a race whereby the intriguing race strategies are allowed to play out. Now it’s just red flag or SC’s, and free pit stops and luck dictating the outcome.

What was interesting shown by F1TV on the quali laps is Charles gained 2tenths through the end of the twisty section, turns 15 and 16 in particular. Max then pulled back just over 1 tenth of that before the finish line. Most of that was under DRS!
