Trust me, You put something on the wrong Channel in the UK and watch is popularty Drop! There is loads of cases of this. BBC are Tied in with FOM, Maybe the can get out maybe they cant. Where are they going to go, ITV? Who are Nearly bankrupt, Same goes for 4, Channel 5 i wont even go there. Sky?, So i would have to pay Even more money too them. Sorry this post is aimed at the uk market, i dont no much about TV stuff outside the uk.

I think i can live with Bernie, As long as he never utter the words medal system (which would of made this season all but over, hahaha, That how much of a good idea it was) Again.

I think it would not be difficult to make a deal with TV stations having on board top teams like Ferrari, McLaren, BMW, Brawn etc., and the best drivers. FOM may have contracts but they would have (almost) nothing to show. I am almost certain FOTA teams would not announced setting up new series without having green light from their sponsors.

apart from the "traditional" TVs there is also internet. for Bernie it was not valuable medium, but now I can see the chance for a change.

I think they'll offer the TV package for pretty much free at first anyway. Far more important to get it available for everyone so sponsors get their money's worth than trying to screw TV companies for every penny.

Sayonara to the sado masochist Max Mosley and the similarly weird Bernie Ecclestone, two guys can't be allowed to single handedly run F1 however they want and expect everyone else to just sit and listen. They needed to know their place in motorsport, it all got to their head. Good riddance I say. I always hated them two.

I hate the presidents of UEFA and FIFA too, infact if you're an International organisation and your name is an acronym of something in French, then I hate you with all my heart. I don't think they'll do tobacco adds again because the races will not be shown in US and European television anymore.

The commerical end could be (to all intentions and purposes) sorted within 2/3 weeks.

The contracts would be drawn up and signed over a slightly longer timeframe, but agreements in principal could be in place before the end of July.

I'd be curious to see the calender as well. hopefully we don't have as many asian races and boring Tilke circuits. bring back the historical races! MEXICO, ARGENTINA, AND CANADA! something other than Indy too but in the US.

I saw the 1990 GP Mexico and would LOVE to see them race there again.

U.S. at Indianapolis. No other track in the U.S. is right for F1.

Lol yh, it is actually bullshit as there havet been driven on there, so how it can be said that there is no other right track?
There are an enormous amount of tracks in the US, both street and circuits.

What you think of Infinion Raceway? or let them drive on a oval, would love to see that.

Regarding the FIA's probable reaction to FOTA's latest move, I have heard it suggested that the FIA will most likely publish the entry list for 2010 with:-
Ferrari
Red Bull
Torro Rosso
Williams
Force India
Campos
Manor
USGP
+ 5 of the backup teams including Prodrive

The FIA still beleives that Ferrari and the Red Bull teams are bound by contract to race in 2010. This would leave Ferrari (the main component of any FOTA breakaway series) in a legal limbo with a protracted set of court proceedings to deal with and hence distrupt, if not scupper, the rival series.

The FOTA regs and the FIA regs are going to be very similar.

Ferrari/RBR could easily adapt chassis and enter them into the FIA championship with FOTA markings etc.


Even better, they could make a common chassis from FOTA funds, and enter 6 of them... what are they FIA going to do? Ban them?

Both Infineon and Laguna Seca are great tracks and I'd love to see FOTA F1 race them both. However, F1 cars are a lot faster than anything currently racing at Infineon or Laguna Seca. The tracks would need to make significant changes to meet safety standards (particularly at the "corkscrew" at L.S.)and it's unlikely they can afford to bring these tracks up to safety standards. And then there are the environmentalists who won't let you do a damned thing.
