Tracks which favor only one type of setup (straight line speed in this case) usually offer boring races because the cars get sorted out in the performance order pretty quickly. This is why Monza has been a terrible race for some time barring some accident or strategy mishap. Tracks which have different sections favoring different strengths usually are less predictable.
Monza seemed to be made more processional with the engine modes ban. I suppose with low drag set ups drs is less efficient and there’s little to separate the straight line performance of the cars.

2023 layout as imagined by track creator

Despite added chicanes I still think this is a low DF track. There's only 1 actual corner that needs some downforce (T2 - long right hander), rest are all really slow speed or easy flat out. Spa setup most likely option.
The track isn't the most exciting, but imagine the buzz and the backdrops. Awesome weekend.

You could have fooled me if you told me this circuit was designed at Red Bull's request.

I don’t know man, part of the race is finding parking.

Er, Silverstone traditionally had a curved tail of the grid.

Monaco's grid is entirely curved.

Bloody youngsters...

It seems Liberty Media is trying to extort the casinos and local businesses.

Well, this is somewhere between funny and ridiculous.

There is one rule in Vegas that everyone obeys, all the time: NOTHING IS FOR FREE IN VEGAS.
There is nothing you do not pay in Vegas, not even a kids playground, no samplers, no snacks. There is no iron, no coffee maker on your hotel room unless you pay extra. Even if you take a picture with fake Elvis, you pay for it.

So now Liberty tells the poor casinos, that are of course obeying the "nothing is for free" rule and lifted the room price for the week by 100%, that the grand prix is not for free. Classic, might get interesting. =D>

Silly prices. I can see why they want to scalp the venues - the little people aren't playing ball by buying the over-priced tickets.

It's an intentionally timed shakedown. Absolutely criminal. They should arrest the principals of Liberty and toss them in jail for extortion. Even more so since it happened in public and the facts are not in dispute.

Wonder why Vegas is a concern when theres a load of tracks around that you can see the cars race through the fence without going inside the venue.

Grifters trying to grift grifters. They’re all made for each other.
