Perez as usual has started to lose the early season steam. He ran out of luck that usually was borne out of Max's misfortune on a street circuit.

Abysmal performance by Perez. Worst driver this weekend by a mile.

Fantastic drive by Verstappen! I thought he'd lose the lead to Alonso but he kept those mediums alive. Really impressive.

A certain 7 time WDC fan was saying if Red Bull gives parity, Perez can beat Max.

Good result for Max. Shame about checo's weekend but it was all down to him.

As for the wdc.. didn't expect anything else though. His off-weekends never went away and they're usually pretty bad. He's had 2 in 6 races

Statements like that should just be ignored, too far from reality. :wtf:

In Australia he “escaped” a big loss of points. That last restart abortion really helped him as he was in the gravel.

Today, with these enormous sleds, ground effect sluggish, it is Almost impossible to do something.

How many hundred thousands of dollars did Sergio burn this weekend? Incredible.

Did they say how many times out of 10?

I like Checo, but I don't think anyone could see them as equals.

Being fan of a driver is one respectable thing, but going around sour, hyping up a nomad against a generational talent, making it seem like a team is irrationally biased, only because that talented driver beat one's favorite driver, is absurd. It brings the standard of this forum down. But somehow such things escape moderation.

and add another 100K for a front wing in the race today, in addition to basically getting a brand new car after qualifying. #-o

I think that's why Newey had that disappointed look yesterday. Money his team need for development is going down the drain.

The gap now is 39 points. Perez isn't going to perform miracles to remove that deficit. It makes no sense to let him do these overzealous things in his impossible pursuit to match or challenge Max. Horner should ask him to behave and back off and play his normal, more apt second fiddle role to secure both championships without anymore damages. It helps focus the money on developing the car.

Now that the gap is 39 points, the team may be more forthcoming with telling him to not risk so much just to beat/come close to max

We'll see if perez is able to stomach that. Somehow i doubt it.

RB19 will be on another level of dominant in Barcelona. I can't imagine a more suiting circuit, especially with the removal of the chicane. If all goes well for Max I'm going to predict a 40s gap to the next non Red Bull car.

Yes unfortunately for the others, that final high speed corner is right in RB's wheelhouse. If it's not a flat corner for everyone, RB will be taking chunks of time there, nevermind down the straight with a greater DRS effect due to higher speeds.
