Racing incident, and I doubt the stewards will intervene, as they were both out anyways, and way out of the points.
Agreed. I think HK was already fully focused on taking the corner and didn't look in the mirror. Bang!

It was good racing today. F1 cars at Silverstone are always spectacular to watch. On the other hand Alonso demonstrated that OWG didn't do too well while 'uglifying' the cars in vain.

RBR were in a league of their own.

Vettel was a metronome in the first stint. Well done. The RB5 is a competitor for the BGP001 now, they have found that .5 of a second. the season aint a conclusion yet!!!

Fantastic! Looks like Red Bull may be able to challeng Brawn after all. I bet Brawn will be scratching their heads and squeeze out some more speed for the next race.

Congrats Vettel, what a perfect race for him.

Looks like that Brawn is starting to get a reputation for being unable to perform as well in the cooler conditions, but excelling in the hot.

Good thing for them summer is here.

I find he is just jealous of talents like Kimi and Schumacher. I think this is just his hate manifesting to the words he said.
stop taking life too seriously.
kimi - screwed him, but he knows he didnt do it on purpose.
prob cost him his first victory.
id rather listen to weber talk sh!t than listen to the other lads talk marketing crap.

yes, I think this is a critical turning point for the championship this year. Is it possible that Brawn won't have the necessary funds to develop the car as much as the Red Bulls? I had predicted this earlier in the season, though I had also expected Ferrari to be more competitive.

Well done to Vettel for a dominant victory, I really hope he can keep up and challenge for the title. Nothing special for Webbo and Rubens, but very handy podium finishes.
Massa managed a quite surprising recovery from 11th on the grid, giving us Ferrari fans some hope for the future.
Apart from that, what a load of crap we had to endure from the BBC presenters about LH!!! What a strong drive! What excellent moves!!! Oh, what a load of bull! The poor chap was all over the place struggling to keep up with the "doomed" BMWs and what was possibly 2009's worst of Alonso, and ended up freaking 16th!!! And don't even get me started about the Kovi - Bourdais incident, which apparently only took place because HK was too busy making way for His Majesty the Champ to even notice SB until it was too late.. IMO Massa and Fisico were the ones who should have gotten all the credit, but of course none of them had had the honor to be born British, so who cares?

He drove well but he gained massive gap to others behind because of Heidfeld.

6 J. Button Brawn GP + 1:06.285
7 J. Trulli Toyota + 1:08.307
8 K. Räikkönen Ferrari + 1:09.622
9 T. Glock Toyota + 1:09.823
10 G. Fisichella Force India F1 + 1:11.522

It seems he also gained a lot because those ahead were also slow :D

C'mon, he finished 5 sec off Button, the Toyota's and Kimi!?!?!

It's pretty obvious that their chassis is "kind" to tyres. They struggle to get heat in them, which you can often see in qualies, but their long stints are great when the track isn't too cold.

Awesome drive by Vettel, I was very impressed. =D>

Very good drive by Webber too but I was very disappointed he wasn't able to get closer to Rubens and pull a repeat of one of his awesome overtaking moves! Thankfully he jumped him in the pits and then held on while his tires came up to temp but by then BoyWonder had destroyed everyone and 2nd was all that was possible for Webber (I still cant fathom why Kimi didn't get penalised for blocking he in Q3 :? ).

Agree. Unfortunately Mark's day was ruined on Saturday. Since he was aprox .01 behind Rubens, Kimi's cool down on the line definitely wrecked a front row start. If he had got away in front of Rubens there is no way to know how closed the fight would have been.

To me it definitely looked like Mark was superior on the prime but perhaps Seb had a little more on the option, but still very close indeed. I think Mark even did a Seb, and popped in a fast one on the hards with 3 laps to go just to show the pace was there. So overall much closer than it looked but all finished after corner 3.

BTW is it just me but is a efficient aero car always look like it struggles more following a car close than some others. I think we saw that recently (last 2 years) with Ferrari compared to Macca. In the RB5 Seb struggled behind Button in Turkey while much lighter and clearly faster at that point. Same again today, Mark could not get anly closer than 7/10s behind Rubens before is aero was heavliy effected. Does not look like a car that can pass someone unless they are more than 1.0s quicker
