So Aston finally abandons the boomerang wing. Any possible benefits of doing so?

They switched to more inboard loaded, and less aggressive near the endplates, i'd say the aim is for a better outwash around the front tires.

Good picture from the front on how wide the rear wing end plates open up. They're like a folded sheet of paper where the fold is facing forward and runs vertically.

I think, it was just a test parts for montreal.
