Lando looks great on the slicks ATM!
Especially crazy considering he's running medium downforce... I have zero clue as to why considering the forecast suggest rain today and tomorrow, and tyre wear is quite high.

Might be the best compromise for the faster circuit layout.

Lando has always been fantastic in mixed conditions. He got his first pole in Russia '21 mixed conditions. He was super quick until the crash in Spa '21. Imola '21 podium...even his last stint in Monaco last weekend on inters was exceptional.

Running in the rain is not just about downforce level. It's also about how a driver manages the platform and chooses his lines. A good car with a driver who has poor wet weather technique will not do well in the rain.

Of course, take a driver with great technique in the wet, and a high downforce setup, and he'll probably be even faster...

Forecast tomorrow is only 50% chance of rain at 3 and then 14% chance by 4, so there is a good chance that at least half the race will be on dry track, if not more.

Wtf fia with this red flag? They are all pussy's 🤬🤬🤬
I remember all Senna vs Mansell, Mika vs Schumi times, with heavy rain, crashes and all the staff and they were still racing.
Now days...red flag is instant for a little snap.

Indeed what the hell was that Red Flag. If it rains harder meanwhile all those who did not do time will be screwed. Let's hope the tarmac stays the same as before.

Very good lap from Oscar. Lando did not do a good lap however. Hopefully he will retry. How did Oscar do that and get so close to Max? Nobody at the moment from faster cars seems to be able to match that time.

Good job to both and a phenomenal time from Lando at the end. The car does seem to get alive in those mixed conditions.

Well there are many things wrong with the car that is why the team is bringing a completely new car in Austria. Not a good first flying lap considering they did a 1.13.3 both in Q1. How do you lose more than 8 tenths between Q1 and Q2?

Used tyres for the first run
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Probably used tyres. I take what I said back. Have they brought updates to the car? I find it strange that the car suddenly matches Verstappen when even in Monaco they were far back.
