Great one lap pace, but poor race pace seems to be the pain point IMO, at least thats how i see all the races so far

Invert Aston and Merc for me.

The AMR23 has similar characteristics as early season F1-75 of Ferrari last year. This was one of the f1-75's best tracks because so much laptime is gained on brakes, traction and there is a short straight.

Alpine & Williams could well end up with interesting results too.

Its going to be interesting to see how the cars handle the kerbs at turns 3-4. I remember last year some being able to take the kerb well and others struggled.

Going to be a strong test for the W14B - given the W13 even made itself look good in Barcelona. It should give people a bit more scope of how the updates are working.
Aston and Ferrari need to get their setup on point. They both lacked pace in Barcelona, so there's a big need to get back on form in Canada. RB just need to turn up and drive the track, get the tyres in a good window for race and not worry too much.
Be interesting to see if Alpines progress transfers over to this race too after showing good quali pace in Barcelona and Monaco.

Be nice to sit down and watch FP's rather than having it on at work in the background and catching bits of it.

I think it should be a great race if you ignore Red Bull (Max).

That’s what’s been said before every race, and it never materialises. The racing has been poor this season.

Its a bit of a strange statement aswell.

It will be a great race if you ignore the leader, like, it is supposed to be a sport.
This "ignore" a certain driver/car/team is just an excuse for people to say, "no the sport isn't in a poor situation"

Come on lads, you can do a lot better than that .. right?

I won't make predictions, but after the high speed cornering fest of Barcelona we have a medium-low fest here.
Curious to see if Mercedes will do as well or Ferrari and Aston catchup.

Moving on from a front a limited circuit to a rear limited one, one with a lot of dependency on traction, which is where Aston has excelled. I wouldn't be surprised if both Aston and Ferrari put up a good showing. It would be mixed between Aston, Mercedes and Ferrari. I am also curious to see if Alpine can join the group with their revised package. I don't have big hopes on them as they are usually very poor on tyre management, like Ferrari this year.

It's not strange, its the reality of where the sport is. If i didn't ignore the dude miles ahead at the front cruising every race I'd just stop watching. Same for the drivers, might as well go home because Red Bull have already won both titles.

Going to be a strong test for the W14B - given the W13 even made itself look good in Barcelona.

It did ok in Canada too - qualified 4th and 8th(?), finished 3rd and 4th. If Mercedes finish this Sunday with a 3rd and 4th then I think they won't be too unhappy.

The likelihood that 2 Red Bull's will definitely be faster, and highly likely Aston Martin will be too, given their new floor and raft of upgrades, and Alonso's fighting talk about crushing Mercedes in Canada etc, I think 5th and 6th will be fair or a duking of positions with Ferrari.
