Personally think Merc dropped 2 glory runs in there whilst others focusing on more race pace/overall setup.
Sure, cause Mercedes have a history of doing glory runs…, oh wait, no they don’t.

Leclerc long run looked similar to Max's. Both around 1.17.5 average

I believe the new wet tyres could be another dud from pirelli. They were terrible at Monaco even when drivers were sliding off track on inters

There's not a tire in the world that would have worked into T10.

Track evolution was big and Ferrari started on yellows and only then went to red, Redbull started on reds straight away. So I am not convinced yet Ferrari is quickest. I think Max is still there. Mercedes went so late it is hard to say anything at all. Ferrari does look good here, but do they did last year so that is no surprise.

Could be 3-way fight with Alo/Lec/Max looking similar in pace.

However considering Alpine's and McLaren's relative pace it seems RB have slipped backwards relative to the field, rather than Ferrari and Aston specifically making strides.

The draconian penalty catching up with RB.

Wonder why Mercedes can develop B spec cars, when other manufactures struggle to get even basic upgrades on the car. /s
