Hamilton may also be looked at in regards to impeding Stroll

Was Lando on a faster lap before Oscar crashed?

You know Oscar Piastri was nowhere near those cars that were about to finish their Qualifying lap. Shouldn't they change that rule to allow for all those who are about to finish their lap actually finish their lap? Both Norris and Alonso were much faster than Hulkenberg and Alonso could have that pole. Why should the Red Flag be for everyone? I understand for those who haven't passed that crashed car but what about those who already passed that car and were at the last part of the circuit. Why cut them up?

Having watched the romantic era of the 80s, 90s and 00s I feel that F1 has become too soft with only a few good driver names in the last 10 years.

If they, say, need to deploy the medical car for a serious incident (as they might for a red flag) you can't have cars going at racing speed at parts of the track without an incident on it. The safest and so correct thing to do is to red flag it for everyone.

So technically it is a B-Spec car after all since everything changed on it even the philosophy.
Has the philisophy changed? What changed about the philosophy?
I think we will have un update more in line to what AMR/Merc have and I think a rework of front/rear suspensions because those enable the car to have a good aero platform.

I agree 100% with you,now days they are too soft, one two,red flag, one two penalty, but money talks so they have these stupid rules.

So far they talk of only aero, but it will be interesting to see if there is a new suspension.

In terms of what the Aero looks like, who knows, I'm kind of expecting the car just to be a more extreme version of what we already have, but obviously we don't know yet.

It is interesting to note that Diffuser (I think?) has been receiving messages saying there is no B Spec, but Stella pretty much calls it a B Spec, or suggests that it is very close. I wonder if Diffuser will reveal his source...

Honestly can't wait to see what turns up first at Austria and then at Silverstone, as they have once more confirmed that the updates will be released at both these races. I'm guessing it will still be the floor released at Silverstone, and the more obvious stuff at Austria.

As in before Jan 2024? Or was his contract past Jan 2024 and they’ve settled on Jan.

Also was Oscars car lifted? Would be interesting to see the underfloor.

No timescales we’re mentioned unfortunately mate…..I’m sure if something has been agreed prior to January 2024 it’ll soon be revealed.

You know what I find hilarious, you guys take issue with me calling the car flawed and using comments from Lando to back up my assertions.
Everyone knows the car is flawed and has been for a long time. But only one driver was unable to extract anything from it. Only one driver used that as an excuse.

Lando has said multiple times that he doesn’t care that the cars are difficult to drive. He just wants it to be fast, he can adapt to anything.
That's BS, show me one single quote from DR blaming the car? He always blamed himself for not being able to extract pace from the car.

You guy's all carry on like I was a DR fan only and that's simply not the case, I frequently post my admiration for Lando. Lando is talented AF, and I'm really glad he's not run off to join another team, as McLaren need him more than ever.

I just wish Key had not ignored Lando's feedback and had rectified the issues Lando had been identifying for several years now. Thank F'K we now have Andreas in charge, he is a huge breath of fresh air, and I'm really optimistic for McLaren going forward.

Let’s hope Piastri doesn’t need a new gearbox with that crash
The looks to be a fair amount of damage to the rear end, I'd be shocked if the gearbox is ok.

according to the new rules, the gearbox can be changed without penalty. But, there are only three gearboxes for the season.
