Promising pace from Lando. The car was 5th fastest after the top 4 that are just a bit too far ahead still. I don’t care much about P8-P13. The team are developing the car into one that can at some point challenge the front runners and any signs they are progressing towards that make me satisfied.

I do hope Piastri will be picking up the pace more though. We’re almost halfway into the season now, and although his qualy is usually fine, he is at no point of keeping pace with Lando during the races. He needs to show more signs of progression.

Piastri again better then the British Wunderkind.
You refer to Russell? Cause this race Lando was faster than Oscar. Or you didn't see the race but only the final classification?

Some suppose McLaren were unwise to not follow Albon's 1-stop strategy. Thoughts?

Perhaps it was unwise too for Norris to fight so hard for that extra position and thus lose about 2-3 seconds just before the finish line? I dunno.

I can't wait for the day where Mclaren will eat all these small teams for breakfast and this nightmare will be over.

I'd say I agree, with the caveat that I have absolutely no clue about the deg McLaren experienced. But yeah, I was honestly a bit surprised when they stopped again.

Mclaren was, is and always will be the best of the best. I just call this period a small break as the natural order will be restored soon.

Positive side is that with PIA progressing I believe they will have almost the best line up of the grid

Let’s see B version of the car now

Performance not bad. It seems staying out may have been better option, but pitting was the obvious choice. Maybe the second stop was early to pre empt thev seconds?

I dont understand the penalty, surely they have regs or rules to follow?

I thought Ferrari did a smart move by just staying out at the safety car, I suspect we should have done the same.

I could have agreed with a penalty for unsafe release, because that looked dodgy to me. But a penalty for unsportsmanlike behaviour? Give me a frakking break.

If we're being outsmarted by Ferrari strategy, then we have a problem :D :D
Also Lando's first pit stop was slow.

Yeah, I feel the aim should have been some form of one-stop. Whether going long in the first or second stint is best I don't know but I feel that if you stop early for hards on a track like this you better be able to finish on that set.

I think Lando was under investigation for being slow at turn 10. A clarification would be nice
