Is that for the Sunday race? Or does the sprint choice also come out of the allocation?

Either way, quietly pleased to see 2 sets of hards available for the McLarens.
According to the chart nobody’s used any (H) tyres yet

The reason Lando has 2 sets (H) available is because they choose to have a set less (M) compared to RB, Merc & Ferrari

Presumably because they feel they can’t make the mediums last long enough, and expect to run a ‘theoretically’ slower strategy. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, with the double sessions of the sprint weekend

I can’t see 2 sets of hards being run in the main race, last year most went with 1 stint on (H) and 2 stints on (M), so presumably those with 2 sets (H) for the weekend will be running the sprint race on the (H)

Oscar actually did 1:05.213(deleted lap) so he was less than 2 tenths of Lando in Q2, or am I wrong?
Anyways, hopefully during the race we will see the difference in race pace with the upgrade, the most important topic.
Yes but Lando only did one lap... the gap is more 4-5 tenths based on gaps yesterday.

lando's lap. understeer in final corner, maybe it was enough for P3 without it. Hard to say but i dont think so.

Is that rule about needing fresh softs for the final sprint qualification still a thing?

Nice pace with the upgrades. Looking forward to see how we go on race pace. Hopefully the team has turned a corner now. More updates as part of the b-spec to come and its not even dialed in yet either.

Lando Norris speaks of an easier car to drive already so I think this time they might have gotten it right. I am also positive that this time they got rid of their problems and got the right people in the right positions.

Even so, did everyone else do a perfect lap? We can't just try and adjust Landos as if he should always do a perfect lap.

Norris didn't need another lap but I think he could improve more if he decided for another lap. Was Piastri impeded by traffic at the last lap cause he seemed to have quit that last lap.

Was he impeded by traffic at that last lap? I feel that he should have been able to be in Q2. In any case I believe that Oscar will perform much better with the upgrades as the car becomes easier to drive.

Was it used softs or new softs?
