Grid penalties for impeding in SQ1 if fia applies their black & white interpretations:
lec +3
ham +3
ver +3

so far...
Why Hamilton ? I missed something maybe
Verstappen basically had to coast trough last corner being blocked by Hamilton going barely 100 kmh. Then he just blocked him in return, so unless they come up with some mental gymnastics it's 3 places for both.
The mental gymnastics are simple. They will just ignore it. Imagine the stewards penalising Max in front of the Orange Army. Never going to happen.

One of the RedBulls will DNF.... And it will be a car with a number "1" on it....
I remember the last time you wanted to see both Red Bulls start from back in Monaco. There was possibility of only 50% approval from heavens. Now you are being more specific in your ask so heavens don't get confused.

I have always seen that when people wish for misfortune on the driver they don't like, it falls on the driver they like. Amen.
How’s that working out for you?
Need I say more?

Pretty dull SQ3 in the end. Horrible format that helps RB get a 1-2 zzzzzzz

Easy for Max, and will win the Sprint comfortably later on.

Verstappen will start 4th, I'm almost certain. They can't dig themselves out of this one.
Lec will be P9
Ham P20.

I don't think Lewis did anything wrong on this one

Leclerc lost his performance overnight.
Sainz was good until he ran out of softs.

He blocked Verstappen in the final corner, which made Verstappen go for "revenge".

All just a mess, but that’s what this format hopes to create.
It's no mess, some teams like Mercedes just did a bad job with their drivers going outside the lines for instance. The same as Red Bull and Perez doing a bad job in the standard Q format.

Not sure why the fastest car wouldn't be expected to qualify first and second? :?:

A routine Verstappen Red Bull - Honda RBPT sprint victory is likely, but definitely not certain. :)

EDIT :
Wow, that is classic Max childish tantrum stuff, isn't it? Deliberately ruining someone else's lap attempt in revenge for nothing.

Condensation under the front wing of Leclerc's car! Jet fighter style!

On mediums as well. I think this some cars just wouldn't turn on their tyres. Basically everyone apart from RB/ver, norris and hulk it seems.

sure, sure. Go watch Ver's onboard without commentary, he's completely off throttle until very late corner exit as hamilton is just doodling on racing line, building a gap to the car ahead that was ending his lap anyway. If there's a penalty it should be for everyone (and lec) or no one.

How does one explain the fluctuation of Ferrari? RB and McLaren remained similar.
