I've a point for all of those who are celebrating the wonderful Aero already. I notice nobody has congratulated Peter Prodmorou on the work, given that his head has been called for 23,459 and a half times on here since last year when we were feeling a little more sensitive 😂

Why is tyre degradation so bad despite the high df configs that they are choosing to run? It confuses me
Thermal deg doesn't happen only when the tyres are sliding too much due to insufficient downforce, you can also overcook them when you are pushing too hard.

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

If I'm correct Peter Prodromou is from Cyprus. I also remember him being in Mclaren from 1991 producing fantastic aerodynamic cars especially the MP4-13 of 1998. As a fellow Greek I always had him in high regard not to mention that if there is good organisation Mclaren has enough talent to be on top.

Think that could be mclaren's problem, considering their ability to turn tyres on so quickly in cool conditions (Spain, here)?

Whatever it is it’s probably the same (or similar) problem Haas have, although slightly less extreme. Fires up wets/inters well, good one-lap pace, after 5 laps they’re toast.

Oscar was flying on the softs. That pass he did on Albon was mega.
That was a beautiful little move.

Looking at the telemetry Lando was certainly way quicker than Ocon and Leclerc... but traction out of t1 was just horrible, it was something I could see on onboards aswell.... lost almost 4 tenths on that corner

Hard luck to Lando getting caught up in the wrong spot losing positions. Oscar was flying on the softs. That pass he did on Albon was mega.
It was a double overtake too, he got Charles in the same move.

It looked like Lando had trouble with traction in the first 4 laps; there was a wiggle out of turns. You can see the frustration on his face and body language. he was faster than Ocon and leClerc and he should had scored a podium.

I think once Oscar get the upgrades I would expect us in Q3. If we can avoid misfortune, we should see better results.

Ocon (and Albon) are getting good at keeping other cars behind.

We have to wait until Hungary when the new mechanical parts for suspension to arrive to see if we somehow can cure just a bit our long time problem with exiting turns especially slow ones.It is frustrating that we carry this problem for at least 7 years now.It is a fundamental design flaw stem from chassis and suspension design which i think tried to cure with pull rod design but still haunt us
