Are track limits not enforced on the race start? Hamilton goes below the white line to overtake a bunch of cars:

I tried to grab a screenshot of what was the most egregious positioning, i.e. when he was the most to the right. It's tough to definitively say his left tyres are off the white paint. Quite the line to take off the start though.

He's legal from the other view. I know it's incredible though!

If everyone catches up to redbull the races should be exciting in the future.
Exciting in the sense of a top team being hamstrung by parity regulations, yes, very exciting; who wouldn't want that? Oh, what might have been 2014-2020, what excitement could have been had if a benevolent bureacracy had brought fair equity to that grim era. Oh, had the bureau held the hand of all the teams, and not only one, eight seasons of excitement could have been had. :-({|=
Well equal treatment for teammates fixes that, and a strong ferrari with a rocket engine that can lead halfway through the season does as well, and a few technical regs like no qualy engine modes and floor edge cuts, anti fric rules, to to neuter the strong points. Hamstringing is very welcome by me!
For Sure!!

I could be wrong, but it may not apply on the start finish straight or other paved straights for that matter, there's really no lap time advantage by driving to the sides on a straight. And we have seen cars squeeze through on the insider or even being push to the wall by others and no investigation for passing off track, or even pushing another car off track there.
For Sure!!

The white line on the straight is pointless then. ham was lucky to not get collected into the wall, which could have led to a dangerous accident that could send debris and large parts into the pitlane. Should probably clamp down on that move Ham did because it could lead to similar or worse injury like the Australia race with spectators injured. Let's see who makes of it in the main race...

Perez overtook Verstappen to the first corner with the very same approach. And one of Alpine cars also.

He's allowed to try two push laps at a time. Technically he didn't do anything wrong. And after T1 he realised that he already lost too much time so he gave up his lap.

We all know obviously that he wasn't really going for another push lap, but I don't see how they could penalise him for that since technically he did nothing wrong.

That's only because he's not driving for Ferrari otherwise they would find a way.

If Norris was more careful into 3 the lead falls on his lap.

Anyway, i think Ferrari should split strategies, put Leclerc on mediums and Sainz on hard for the start, just to try and throw a wrench in the works and beat Verstappen like that.
Drivers should also avoid fighting unless it becomes clear they are only racing one another.

Absolute lovely day here today! Suns out, patchy clouds.

For the weather watchers - clouds seem to be coming in from T3 along towards the pit lane so any ‘bad’ weather will come from T3 first. Yesterday I think it was coming in from T10 way
