Maybe, but lets see how they stack up on a conventional race weekend, when there are 3 practice sessions and the likes of Mercedes and Aston are setup more optimally...

Silverstone next weekend will prove a much better yardstick to see where Ferrari is with regards to pace in the high-speed corners, stability and tyre degradation. If we get a similar result there like we did this weekend, that would go a long way in showing Ferrari's improved form. Well, from the car anyway... pitwall is still a coin-toss as to strategy and decision making.

That was just the DRS effect. We could see how easily he disposed of Norris and Hamilton when he was actually quicker than them. Too bad he was such a hothead chasing Leclerc and getting the off-track penalty later. It would have been an easy 2-3 for Ferrari otherwise.

Good thing for Ferrari is they are 2nd force again, but will get ATR advantage due to being P4 in WCC on 30th of June. Should do them good for 24 car.

Perez was lapping in 1:8.1 and LEC in 1:8.9-1:9, he might not have caught up but it was going to be extremely close.

Nah. That was one lap. He went to 8.5 and slower beyond that. Considering that Leclerc had like 6 seconds on Sainz already, don't think Perez would have done anything about Leclerc.

It was +4s when Sainz got through the traffic, went up to almost +8s from there and came back down to about 4-5s before 2nd stops. At that point, Leclerc was trying to extend the stint while the team was expecting to go for 3 stops.
