why does it seem that the yellow car is alonso and they grey one is lewis hamilton?
The grey one just got blown to smitherines after alonso pushed him into what seems to be an obstacle!
Do the Spanish people dislike him that much that they have to see him get blown to pieces before every GP.

why does he have a downforce generating front wing? Wouldn't that just make the vehicle nose dive?

I doubt that was Schumi. Most likely the real stig, a stuntman with a dummy camera and some clever editing.

I expect them to surely take it down as it is not road legal. Heck they even took the Caparo T1 (was that its name, i dont remember?) off cause even though it was road legal it was not within reason to actually use it as one (couldnt get over speed bumps and so on).

Schumi being stig is for sure a joke, but it was an incredible moment for sure (EDIT: two for sures, im becoming an F1 driver if seems). I noticed during the Fxx lap the driving to be different to the stigs, it was on another level, simply flawless. And for sure, that was because the driver is in fact on another level.

Notice how the top car was the caparo T1 and the FXX was 7 seconds faster.

I believe that the car at the top of the board was a Gumpert : I remember mentioning the Gumpert to my girlfriend at the time of the live broadcast ...

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'd need to check.

The gumpert was indeed at the top. The Caparo had a time comparable to the FXX but was taken down.

The FXX is a racing car, not a road car. No two ways about it, if the FXX is allowed up there then so is the F1 car with a time of 59 seconds.

I'm a Schumi fan and I doubt he is the stig. it is just a fun way to introduce Michael into Top Gear. I really enjoy that episode to see the legend driving on the TG track. COOL!

The FXX that he drove was not only quick but the noise that it makes is enough to get my adrenaline pumping!

Is hard to believe that his heartbeat does not even raise above 100 when he was driving that FXX. Is he a Jedi? hehehe....

Not really. As Shoey himself admitted 'it's all about the car'. This one is more like a race car (slicks etc) thus the lap looked neat. Most of cars on TG slide a lot due to the lack of aero DF and road tyres.

Besides he wasn't that flawless at the wheel of that other car...

I know is debatable, but it is probably not Schumi. I think that was just an indirect way for TG to say Schumi is not the stig. thats it. Flawless or not, the FXX beast is crazy and fast

It was quite a spectacle as he took off his helmet and im sure people must have thought of almost all the british racing drivers being the stig. I wonder why MSC did nt do the timed lap in the Liana properly....why was he driving backwards?
