Great pace from Lando with these upgrades. Wonder how much the altitude and lower drag helped too. Will be interesting to see how we go in Silverstone. 25% more upgrades and rest in Hungary.

It's ridiculous anyone criticising Piastri, he had some horrid luck this weekend. Getting blocked by Leclerc in qualli, and then having stroll miss the apex in t3 and park in front causing Oscar to damage his front wing. He was flying in the sprint on softs reminding us what he can do. Also keeping his nose clean with no off track penalties in the race unlike DeVries and co.

Personally I find all that a farce. Just put some grass so drivers could drive differently. Still Norris gained a position so a good 4th place.
You can't put gravel or grass in Austria because this track hosts MotoGp and there could be serious accidents there.

Mclaren has an advantage towards Merc and AMR,they build there own gear box and casing and that is also a weaknes of Mercedes not only the PU that is having like 15Hp deficit towards Ferrari and 22 Hp deficit towards Honda, the only beat Renault by 5Hp.

They mentioned this in the broadcast as well.

I think a larger issue is the delay feedback. There were several laps delay. A warning isn't a warning if it is done right before the penalty. A simple change of not elevating the level of warning until the driver has been informed of the previous warning.

Then again, maybe Austria isn't the best track for a sprint format. More practice may have yielded a better approach by the drivers.

Where are these figures from? I’m not sure Mercedes has a power issue. Even if there are deficits, I believe they’re minimal.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Very good performance from Lando. So What updates will come in Silverstone? Nothing new, just Piastri will get the new package?
I think wings were planned for Silverstone. Whether that means front wing or rear wing or both, I am not sure.
Nah I think they were just planning a BBQ.

Why not? Didn't they have special liveries for both Monaco and Abu Dhabi one season?

What I would say is that the altitude didn’t save us from being very ordinary at Austria last year so I have a good confidence that our upgrade (this first part) has made a clear step forward, so very good news looking ahead one would hope :)

As for the livery, I’m sure the team did mention that Silverstone could see a special edition but they didn’t say it would be the triple crown again , so I’m guessing we’re going for a Google-sponsored “chrome” to advertise their browser.

Should be interesting!

It would also fit well with SILVERstone ...

Back to the upgrades- if the first part was on Landos car in Austria, what are the next parts likely to be this week in Silverstone?

My guess would be front wing, maybe rear wing too, Austria update was both floor and sidepods
