Has anyone got info on what tyre compounds are rostered for Silverstone? I think the hardest range is likely and if temperatures are low we could be in good shape. Lando says his preference is high speed corners and with much improved aero efficiency with the updates we could be in the zone to challenge Ferrari/Merc/Aston Martin. With both drivers we can start eating into Alpine’s advantage.

I have nothing on tyres but forecast is
Dry, sunny and 25 degrees for Friday
A chance of rain and 23 degrees for Quali
Dry, overcast and 21 degrees for the Race

How much weight does the paint add? Red Bull and Ferrari both are painted "head to toe" and yet they are quite fast.

C1-C3 so the tyres will be the same as Barcelona. It is the hardest range of tyres we've had so far this season. C0 (last year's hard tyre) hasn't been used at all

They are meant to be running the new spec tyres for 2024 in FP1 and FP2 if I remember correctly.

Even the Ferrari now has significant carbon patches all over the car

No idea about the weight, but I think McLaren had an article about it on their website a couple of years ago. But it's not really painted anymore, the McLaren at least. It's been majority wrapped since 2020 or so I think, the only things that are painted are things that can't be wrapped for whatever reason.

Race against time for both cars to have 75% of the upgrade for Silverstone😬

Also back tracking on all of the final 25% coming in Hungary

Regarding the improved performance. It all sounds very positive.

2 problems to address remain:

Drag - may be fixed with the upcoming 50% of the update
