Sainz with the new beam wing has superior straight line performance.
Leclerc with a clear edge in the corners.
The difference in top speed looks minimal, 2-3kph on avg. SAI only gaining at the end of straights, I did not look at his onboards so I'm unsure if theres anything going on there. A bit of an unknown element still, a particularly strong track for LEC so we don't know how much that is at play here either.

SAI loses quite a bit in the final chicane with a big error from LEC. Maybe and extra 1 tenth in it there.

Vasseur confirms that the car will go a new direction for the next season compared to the start of the season(obviously it will be inline with what the current upgrades are doing).

Sainz was intimidated in the corners by Leclerc :D :D

Anyway, if the final laptime is similar between single vs double beam wing, I hope the chose the one which causes less tire deg - more downforce one

Electrical problems on Charles' car. Not sure what plan is - probably replace some components with others from pool.

He hasn't had a chance to run with the new BW yet

Well that's really annoying on Charles's side. He's simply superb here and hasn't gotten to try out the update for the weekend. The lap by Sainz confirms the improvement in high speed so I remain hopeful for a podium this weekend

Just don’t get how the same driver has issues every time?

From my initial impression Sainz's race pace looks poor so I am concerned the setup may not protect the tyres enough here

Race pace was horrendous. Looked like he was dropping about 4/10 a lap ☹️

I was out but I think LEC did a small race sim in FP1, can someone check the times?

Yeah, the setup needs to be changed. Fast in one lap again but far off in the race pace. Annoying but this is why I wish there would have been two cars out on track...

Lap 3 was with traffic but yeah RB has around 0.6s per lap advantage as expected.
