Lewis looking more threatening here. It's Hamilton weather! would love to see a wet race. Mixed conditions have been a bit of 50/50 for "our Lew."

It's amusing how Sky (mainly Karun) continuously try to emphasise how close George has been to Lewis every race week, the qualifying H2H graphic they displayed for this season was incorrect and its the second week in a row they compared points over multiple seasons. George is receiving the Jenson Button treatment

Afraid to say it....but what wet races has Hamilton excelled at in the last 2 years compared to everyone else? I haven't really seen one notable wet performance, from memory, from Lewis during this new era of cars.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

It seems that this era of car do not allows drivers to make différence in the wet

Hamilton or Alonso on older car 10 years ago were « special » under water

Now we cannot see them do a big gap on those conditions

May be the driver quality on the grid has improved? Not that everyone is a master in the rain, but no slouches either.

There's definitely somwthing in the cars being much bigger. It's less feedback to the driver on the grip levels, since aquaplaning is more snappy. Literally once you aquaplane in these cars there is no coming back. The old lighter cars u could sorta have small pulses of it crosses patches.

Aero grip has increased and Mechanical grip has decreased relative the previous formula.
By how much is a guess, but ground effect cannot be ignored in this as the floors are even more important now.
In the wet, that might make a big difference to what it was like previously.

Dayum. Then onnly Williams left before we are the worst Merc powered team.

I simply can't believe that McLaren has become better aerodynamicists than us is such a short period of time.

AM weirdly have gone backwards though.

You just cannot predict anything besides Rb out front this season, but this defo is 2 on the trot where McL look like a force. Must admit I’m quite happy with that
Team ANTI-HYPE. Prove it, then I’ll anoint you.

Not the engine is the problem but the aero departments needs a Newey. Look where McLaren started and where they are now. As someone said the car is g****** in g******.
Of course I struggle. I just don’t quit.

Crazy, the budget cap + aero aliding scale mixed the grid like we never seen... except...

Woeful today. Expect much better performance and long run pace for tomorrow.

Not sure days like this make Lewis want to pick that pen up

Have to hope that their race pace is good. Tough place to be behind 2 ferrari's and then the 2 Mclarens ahead.

McLaren has always punched above its weight on Saturdays. Real test is tomorrow. If Merc remains firmly behind McLaren and Ferrari, then it is time to worry, or hope that the next slew of upgrades (Hungary? Spa?) provide more performance.
