Wow, Alonso with no new tyres. How did that happen!
They scrub their sets in fp. pirelli have said many times there shouldn't be any benefit to doing so, AMR continue to do it and must see reason to

Makes sense. Strange they are the only team to do so.

Lets hope there is no idiots from the Just Stop Oil (or other protests) that ruin the track today. Austria had a small army of police lining the edge of the track so hopefully the British have taken note and do similar. We dont want any damaged F1 cars from people being on the track.

As much as I don't agree with their form of protest. I am very jealous as they seem to have very good connections to get into any event, regardless how popular 😂😂

So LEC and HAM on 1 stop M-H race, SAI and RUS on 2 stops M-H-M, with both Macca drivers on 2 stop S-H-M or S-M-H... what do you think guys?
Neither Sainz nor Russell have the tyres to run M-H-M ?

Lec is the only driver with tyres left to run a 2-stop without using the soft
The soft was way faster than the medium here, if it can do a stint it might be the way to go.
Everyone was complaining about grip on the hard and the medium were not much faster...

What should be worrying teams is that with qualifying under the threat of rain these softs probably have too many laps on them already...
But someone like Perez should run the Pirelli reccomended imo.

They probably buy a cheap GA ticket. From what ive seen theres facial recognition when entering the event to try and ween out any thing from happening. it wont be a good look for Silverstone if anyone manages to get on track during the race, Again.

Interesting efficiency delta top speed between Q2 (no DRS) and Q3 (DRS on):

After Q2:

After Q3:

(don`t know which driver had a tow or not):

VER=25
NOR=16
PIA=18
LEC=19
SAI=15
RUS=19
HAM=17
ALB=16
ALO=19
GAS=21

Then a good indication relative to how cars behave in the low, mid, and high-speed corners and how pull away on the straights (yeah I know these are relative terms coz there are multiple factors such as track evolution, ERS mappings and so on):

After Q2 (no DRS):

After Q3 (DRS on):

There are showers passing by the track to the west during the race, at the very least. Not sure if they will hit the track - i suspect not

Ferraris may be sitting ducks to Russell with their tyre warmup, russell's soft tyres and the raindrops..

Not worried about rain here.

Most on mediums in top 10, Russell on softs. See how well he Merc treats its tyres. Russell needs to get to around lap 17 on them.
