Personally I think that the tyre allocation for qualifying will be bad for ‘the show’ as it kills any chance of an upset in the order (big team/driver gets tyre strategy wrong & is outplayed by lower-mid grid team).
The onus is on the drivers to get the tyres into the right temperature window and be on it immediately before the tyres fall off. Put simply Warm up the tyres, bang the laps in. No time for plodding around building upto a fast lap.
Either it enforces the status quo or it shakes the grid up. I'm undecided on which is more likely.
