Max dropped his +0.250 to Lewis in the last couple of corners alone. He was a tenth or 2 faster through the middle sector.

Would need Dialtone to come in with the better telemetry with corners on for a proper analysis.

Could someone tell me what Toto said at the Sky Sports F1 interview after the FP3 session, please?

Sky reported (that may be an oxymoron…) that Max was 1/10th up on Lewis in the first sector but lost 2/10ths in the second (and I guess a little more in the final sector too).

No clue where you’re getting your info from, but VER dropped 2 tenths in S2 and a further tenth in S3 to HAM. VER was faster in S1.

Toto classic.

As said, I expect Merc to struggle. They need to play save in Q1....

Thanx a lot! Unfortunately, it was just about the new tyre allocation format ...

Can you summarize what the problem is with it? Is it limiting the ability to test?

I actually don't mind them trying something like this, but not the way it's done now. They basically just got rid of the two tyre sets for Friday.

For qualifying and race, most teams now have three new sets of hards, two sets of mediums and two sets of softs left. This won't be an issue at all for anyone. Scrap two of those sets instead, and it could make things interesting.

What they want is shake ups. People out of position. Makes the race more spectacular. So they take away FP in the sprint weekends and simply tires now. The “green” is just an excuse for a means.

Apparently, Toto said after FP2 that due to ATA they choose to test more of the medium tyres both because it is the main race tyre but also to know how many laps they need to push or to do cool out ones for soft and hard tyres... how come? simulation tools or extrapolation?
