Oscar will not be happy about that, but McLaren had to react to hold off Lewis undercutting Lando.

Max has this in the bag barring any drama, so its all about bringing both cars home in P2/P3 now. Looking comfortable so far.

Commentary query with Norris pitting first, but it was the obvious call. Had to cover off Lewis. Being 2 and 3 is important more than who us 2 and 3.

Norris may have been faster but managing the distance for the tyres, for all we know it was agreed with Piastri either in race or before race, whoever is fastest goes in first in this instance.

Just think it was that Norris had to cover Lewis. As waiting 2 more laps would have seen him behind pretty much. Now they have 11 seconds on him. Somehow!

Engine temp issues it seems.

Team made absolutely the right call. That outlap on the hards was epic from NOR.

Lando matching Max on the hards, if not slightly faster. Impressive!

All I can say is that the upgrade turned the car into 2nd best regardless of turns, straights or weather conditions

Lando indeed has more pace, but the pit stop order was to cover Hamilton, the undercut is powerful on this track… The fact that they swapped places is because Lando had a mighty outlap and Piastri’s in lap wasn’t outstanding.

Must have made a mistake, just lost 3 seconds to Max in one lap.

Max is now about 0.5 to 1s faster - doesn't seem to have been a mistake by Norris. Probably managing tyres.

Nah Red Bull is just a little faster still but for a car that couldnt enter Q3 and not in the top 10 now losing 1 or 2 tenths due to race pace is fantastic.
