I don’t understand where did all Piastri’s pace go. His pace on mediums in the first stint was good, but now suddenly he is slow.
Might be nursing a car issue?
Had to stop early too to cover Perez, and for us with higher deg I think that’s not ideal in the slightest
On the team stream the engineer told Piastri they have to bring the tyre back. That probably means Piastri overheated the tyre and then it is very hard to bring back under control.

The cars been hard on its tyres all season, I'll rather them struggling when in top 5 over bottom 5.

It’s a very long stint in the Medium tire, longer than the first stint.
Yes, but it’s the same for Lando and Piastri is way off. Must be something going on with the car.

Lando has the experience, it's as simple as that. Great drive Lando, solid points for Oscar too. If this is the norm for the remainder of the season then it's going to be incredible.

Its still ok. Oscar has to improve his racing ability but he will learn.
Pathetic comment… Simply clueless
You dont need to be triggered. Lando is still better as a driver as Oscar is fairly new and Lando is more experienced. He will be better in the following races

why they did not pit the lead driver? Seems PA is clear no 2.

The car still eats tires, and it was incredibly hot in Hungary today so that weakness the car has is even more exaggerated. The next raft of upgrades was meant to focus on race pace, which I can only think means tackling this tire wear problem. They didn't bring it here to learn more about the package.

Since the race today had pretty much some of the toughest conditions + track characteristics for the car, I hope they really got a lot of valuable data to tune in that last part of the upgrade.

Nevertheless, it's quite astonishing that we are being disappointed with a P2-P5 this season. The team has done a tremendous job turning this car around it's almost unbelievable the progress they made. This was the slowest car on track on Miami for god's sake. Incredible job by the team. Everyone at McLaren should be proud on what they have achieved. Mercedes and Ferrari are proof that it is not an easy feat to achieve.

Simple decision. Norris was under threat from Hamilton, Piastri had more of a gap so could pit one lap later.

Great points. The start and the first pitstop sequence pulling the gap to Lewis made the race. Some real positives to take.
Slow speed corners/tyre deg-race pace is to be improved but let’s just be relieved we aren’t in the doldrums anymore. What a turn around

Dont be dissapointed with Piastri. Its his first year. He will have more chances and he will improve.
