Has anyone ever seen the underfloor of the Mclaren? Their drivers hardly crash.

If its gonna rain, it makes sense. But I haven't seen predictions for race day yet.

the rear wing in the last pic doesn't look as "barn door-y" as the earlier pic?

This chassis is starting to look a lot more "weapons grade" in it's approach to surfaces, a direction away from stylised type finish and tidying evident.

Appearance of something that really means business and has a presence oriented in that direction.

I had a good look over an Apache military helicopter recently, and with the same feeling in approach, get down, get on with it and chase the functional hard, very hard.

I like watching development like this.

Edit:- amusing this got down rated :D after swanning about for the last, how many years ? being relatively ineffective, they appear to be finding their way with a very concentrated approach to yeald some measure of success.
My observation vis a vis military hardware (in an aero specialised performance centric demand) are to point out that the McLaren design bodywork etc looks to be shedding peripheral, non performance focused accoutrements that previously it may have made display function of in pr-ish fashion etc.
It looks no nonsense either way. Absolute performance and nothing else will do in capturing reduced lap time.

Same. Canada, Austria and Great Britain.- This rear wing was used in recent races. Beam wing set to low downforce. Previously, the team has already used a similar option. I see that the car will perform well on all days of the weekend. Downforce is greater than rivals. Better braking, better tire warm-up, better grip in all corners without exception. Yes, there will be losses on the straights, but even if it doesn't rain on Sunday, the increased downforce should give extra grip as the track will be green.

I see the Floor Support goes through the sidepod again... Does this mean the ones from Silverstone & Hungary differs slightly ?

I think that the car is the same, they [McLaren] said that they will bring the rest of the updates post summer break. But look at the Merc,... they will be hard to catch now.

Maybe the support coming back has to do with absolute load from the floor. I would imagine hungary has lower peak loads than Silverstone and Spa so they can get away with lower stiffness floor supports.

Given the ride height is 100% dictated by the eau rouge compression, you need all the stiffness you can get.
