Yep anything to try and discredit. Makes for funny reading. Bring tinfoil hat
By eye Mercedes went with their normal medium downforce wing with Russell, Hamilton has a low downforce wing.ringo wrote: ↑28 Jul 2023, 18:20Hamilton squeezing every drop out of the car. I think Russel just lacking experience in prepping the car. He can do better.
Great running by all the top 10. Max just pulled everything together in the end purple in all 3 sectors and by 0.8 seconds.
Perez redeemed himself and Ferrari back in the mix.
Aston seemed a little improved but may have been overheating the tyres near the end of the lap? They seem strong in the earlier phase.
When we have the telemetry it will be incredibly interesting101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑28 Jul 2023, 18:26It’s the medium to high speed long radius corners which FER already identified as their Achilles heel. If they can fix it without major compromise otherwise they’d be straight back up
Yeah I’d be very curious. Am expecting a min turn speed difference. Maybe even mid corner. Be curious to see where it dropsorganic wrote: ↑28 Jul 2023, 18:27When we have the telemetry it will be incredibly interesting101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑28 Jul 2023, 18:26It’s the medium to high speed long radius corners which FER already identified as their Achilles heel. Russell betting on wet track imo.
Sector 3 has that long straight with no DRS which is very suited to Lewis' very trimmed low downforce rear wing. I am not surprised at all he was purple in s3Hammerfist wrote: ↑28 Jul 2023, 18:30Yeah they said so in the broadcast.Sevach wrote: ↑28 Jul 2023, 18:24By eye Mercedes went with their normal medium downforce wing with Russell, Hamilton has a low downforce wing.ringo wrote: ↑28 Jul 2023, 18:20Hamilton squeezing every drop out of the car. Hamilton purple in sector 3 though. Beating both Mclarens feels like overperforming the car.
