Every first corner dive bomb by Max in 21 were "elbows out racing by a future world champion" I have a hard time taking this comment seriously
In fairness, racing rules have changed substantially since the beginning of 2022. The stewards made this clear and we've discussed these changes a lot here

It wasn't Checo corner, Lewis was alongside.
Furthermore, it's always an excuse to say "oh he outbraked himslef" "oh he had oversteer" (i.e Max moves at the end of 2021...) to not penalize.
This penalty makes no sense.
This.

If "it's called racing", why are these dubious decisions allowed?
We might even see more tomorrow with a totally different outcome. Zero consistency and utterly ridiculous.

Why TF is no one checking the unsafe releases?
GAS is only 3rds because of the unsafe release.
Hopefully someone takes some footage to the stewards post-race, AMR style

There are certainly cases to be made for unsafe releases. Off the top of my head Max's, Leclerc's and Gasly's looked slightly sketchy

I'm sorry to say it, but the races begin to remind me more and more strongly of the affairs of politicians and/or commercials on television. I prefer the old system. The current one seems excessively complicated and boring to me, something that seems totally contrary to the competition itself. Luckily Verstappen doesn't care, his comment about the sleeping brakes was the funniest part of today's mini-race.
Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

Fair enough, however the double standard is very frustrating.

I also don't mean to characterize HAM pass today as a "dive bomb" because I don't think it was. Racing incident imo.

I think Leclerc had the worst unsafe release tbh.
But Merc won't challenge this one ofc they will just accept what the FIA says

They're not the thickest material, but it's going to be shredded when a heavy and fast rotating tyre makes contact

Tbh I think it was hampered by the race directors decided when to race more than anything, not to mention Alonso DNF reduced it and DNFs are a part of racing whether that's sprint or Grand Prix. But the biggest issue is that if the track can't provide the racing it doesn't make much difference being 10 laps or 100 laps it just won't give anything, and spa hasn't been the best in the last few years.

Cool and collected by Max. Piastri, good, quick and very down to earth. Gasly a bit lucky nothing on the unsafe release, from my viewpoint that is correct, no harm done and it was super crowded. Lewis unlucky to have understeer, something that sometimes happens to him.
