Perez on the wrong line because he turned in early to crowd hamilton. Both racing lines would have crossed. Perez tightening entry would only have resulted in him running off on the outside. He speed was already compromised through that corner and should have slowed but instead he chose to hang on and contact was inevitable.

In fact looking at it again, he had sufficient room when contact was made. But the contact only resulted because he continued to pinch lewis in. This is a racing incident.

You've made an good point though imo. Why not follow the F1 games and have 35% races 😅

From that angle it doesn't look good, we need the before and also onboard to see Lewis steering inputs.

Perez was beaten. Then decided to. Turn in to pinch Lewis... but who gets the penalty?
What a Joke. But meh ive gotten used to the hypocrisy. Bring on the race!

Perez squeezed Ham at the apex onto the kerb.

He lost traction, having to take a tighter line as Sergio was positioning himself to purposely not use all of the track on exit and compromise Ham as much as he could on exit.

Sergio had more than enough space on his left to have evaded an understeering car on the inside if he was being cautious.

Perez basically telling Hamilton, you back off or we collide.

IMO, Hamilton should have backed off. It was clear PER wasn't going to lift and HAM was likely going to understeer given the conditions.

No point in arguing with Red Bull fans really! They’ll always find something wrong with everybody else’s driving except for their own drivers’ driving…

Perez crowding Hamilton through the turn and down the straight and Sainz afterwards down the straights wasn’t penalty deserving probably…

Regardless of who is involved, while making an attempt to overtake, the onus to keep it clean is on the driver attempting overtake. It has always been a rule.

Yeah the race felt as if it has been shortened or something…

I think perez was afraid to track out onto the paint and curbing. Lewis had a bit of understeer and needed perez to use the full track.

I’ve seen this penalized both ways before. Outside driver possible had space to give. Inside driver unable to pass safely. Or racing incident. F1 is so fast though its just not a great w2w formula. They promote all or nothing passing.
